Cooper Lighting LED Seminar A Big Hit!
Apr 13, 2010 - CSI Utility Sales and Power Line Supply hosted a
free informational seminar at the Lansing Lexington Hotel presenting the benefits
of Cooper Lighting’s LED technology. The seminar drew over 35 people from a dozen
organizations across Michigan. Some of the utilities in attendance included Detroit
Edison, Consumers Energy, Wyandotte Municipal Services, Lansing BWL and Grand Haven
BLP.
The seminar was instructed by Becky Rainer, Tim Hill and Scott Berry from Cooper
Lighting. Each offered their expertise into this emerging technology. Participants
learned about basic light emitting diode technology and photometry to legislative
issues to applications and benefits associated with LED lighting.
All
attendees received a binder with up-to-date literature and information regarding
Cooper Lighting’s LED technology and product offerings. Further, each organization
received special promotional pricing for attending the seminar.
The group engaged in a lively debate concerning the legislative measures implemented
over the recent years banning the sale of mercury vapor luminaires. In an industry
that has remained quiet for many years, outdoor lighting is amidst an enormous upheaval
prompting utilities to revisit their rate structures and product offerings to their
customers.
Cooper Lighting remains committed to the development and advancement of outdoor
lighting solutions. They are focused on providing LED solutions that meet the highest
standards of reliability and performance. Cooper Lighting’s deep rooted understanding
of outdoor product markets and application needs has been amassed through decades
of supplying quality products, service and support.
